Overview Gangtok-Sikkim

Gangtok is the largest town of the Indian state of Sikkim. located in the eastern Himalayan range, at an height 5,410 ft. Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya and enjoying a year-round mild temperate climate, Gangtok is at the centre of Sikkim's tourism industry. Travel Mode by Bus, Train, Car, Flight

By Air : Bagdogra which is 124Kms from Gangtok is the nearest airport and having regular flights from major cities of India.You can also avail helicopter service available between Bagdogra and Gangtok which takes 30mins to reach Gangtok.

By Train : New Jalpaiguri which is 117 km far from Gangtok is the closest railway station. The railway station is well connected with most parts of the country. It is best way to reach Gangtok.

By Road : Gangtok is well connected by road with Siliguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong as one can opt for National Highway 31A to reach the Gangtok.From here you can get private buses, jeeps and taxis from Siliguri and Bagdogra.
